Gunpoint Third Person

PRESS RELEASE

UNITED KINGDOM – April 1, 2012 - Intense creative re-focussing has led Gunpoint to be re-invented as a 3rd person cover shooter.

“We’re going to make a lot more money this way”, says morally bankrupt CEO.

(Full credit to our artist John Roberts for this startling change in direction)

(This was an April Fools)

Zardilann: Any chance for a legacy-edition game that comes with the Collector's Edition? Else I'll take some day one DLC! Looking forward to the game coming out.

Southbound: I, for one, am pleased to see the developer finally listening to reason and taking the path far well traveled. I shall be buying this the very day it sees release and also all the Day 1 dlc. Bravo, here is all my money.

Crane: I came expecting an april fools joke, I got a really good april fools joke.

Rei Onryou: I'm looking forward to the retailer specific pre-order DLC packs.

Chris: Personally, I'm highly anticipating the hastily added multiplayer, and of course the multiplayer store.

In particular, I want to make a lot of micro-transactions in order to buy anything remotely worth playing with - maybe even some pay-to-win stuff!

Dave: That is a beautiful piece of 3D pixel art. Nice work.

Meepmeepmeep: I would so play this! Now i'm actually disappointed this is only a joke.

Daedolon: Why joke with things that people would seriously want?

oyog: I'm really looking forward to the cover system, linear levels and simple gunplay.

So few games have those features these days.

Jason L: Utter incompetence, you've given players a hat for free!

Jason L: How many organs can be crosslinked to each other?

IVI4tt: I look forwards to the neat colour-coordinated endings

Anonymous: Shooter? No, no, more stealth action, like Splinter Cell: Conviction.

(Seriously, can you imagine how awesome GP might be in 3D if handled correctly?)

What: Does it have large quantities of bloom which could kill an elephant at 20 paces? If so, I'LL TAKE IT!

Brandon B: I would actually buy this if it was 3rd P

Anonymous: This has to be a limited edition bonus desktop wallpaper.

Carson: Wait is regular gunpoint gonnas be there too????!

Greyhaven: Hmmmm, is there anyway we can get that picture in 3D? Like a Stereoscopic (side-by-side)Hi Res Version? That would be cool for a dual (duel?) monitor background!

Aw man!: that wasn't cool dude! aw you scared me! I was gonna comment and everything saying you shouldn't! aw I'm so dumb!

SargeBuckwheat: Y'know, I'd still play it this way, looking forward to crosslink mode

John Robert Matz: Wow, that actually looks awesome. My favourite bit is the dead guard laying *flat* on the ground. Nice work, John.

John: how download?

Jon Chang: That looks awesome. Gunpoint Gear Solid 2?!

Flo: AWESOME ! I want it NAOW !
Seriously, this fake is well done. A great mix between realistic style and pixel art :)

Flavio: I'd love the graphics :)

Noblaum: Wow. Imagine if they ruined Deus Ex by doing this... oh wait.

Karsten: I'm throwing all my money at my screen but nothing is happening.

Nope.: This would be awesome still Gunpoint is already to awesome from what i've
seen!
