Weird.I have Deus Ex GOTY edition, I installed widescreen patch and HDTP and everything works flawlessly, with core 2 duo 3.16ghz and gtx280 on winXP SP3.

I am looking forward to playing the mod, though I am gonna get to it later (I am in the middle of Crysis and GTA4 right now).

@ Ben, I always just had to set the affinity to a single core. If you don't know how, it's easy. Just run the game, press ctrl-alt-dlt, right click the DX exe, click set affinity, and make sure only 0 is checked.

It might not work for vista / quad cores, but it's always worked for me (XP & Dual Core.)

Mobba: If the dowry's right.

Ben: Yes, the original game has its flaws, but a guy called Hanfling has made custom launchers (new .exe) for all the old Unreal engine games, and we've packaged it with The Nameless Mod so it should work on multicores by default. It also fixes an issue with speedstepping on laptops.

Of course that doesn't stop people from getting the strangest errors, but I think the mod works for most people.

Chris: Fine I shall have to start obsessively refreshing your blog as well then!

I will now demonstrate my amateurism by being the first to comment on your blog post about my project.

I am glad to hear you enjoyed downloading The Nameless Mod! I'm also pleased that you liked Mr. Cobbett's review, as I generally found it a positive experience as well.

And thank you for the namedrop. I may now die a happy man :P

Now I hope you'll excuse me as I go back to helping people get atrociously old Deus Ex to run on their ludicrously powerful quad core Windows Vista machines.
